Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig

A hilly-classics specialist and popular personality in the peloton, she won a Tour de France Femmes stage in 2022 and the Danish national road race title the same year.

Born on 23 August 1995 in Frederiksberg, Denmark, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig won a silver medal in the junior individual time trial at the World Championships before beginning her senior career in 2013. She progressed through Danish Continental teams before her career took off in 2016 with the Danish elite time trial national title. Uttrup Ludwig moved to the Bigla Pro Cycling Team from 2017 to 2019, achieving podium finishes at Trofeo Alfredo Binda and the Giro dell'Emilia, before winning her first WorldTour victory at the 2021 Vuelta a Burgos Femenina. Her breakthrough season came in 2022, when she won a stage of the inaugural Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift and the overall title at the Tour of Scandinavia, cementing her status as one of the most exciting riders in the women's peloton. Known for her lively personality, climbing ability and combative racing style, Uttrup Ludwig has recorded podium finishes at several of cycling's most prestigious one-day races, including Strade Bianche, the Tour of Flanders and La Flèche Wallonne. In 2023, she added two further Tour of Scandinavia stage wins, a second Giro dell'Emilia title, and a bronze medal at the UCI Road World Championships. A prominent figure in Denmark's modern golden age of cycling, Uttrup Ludwig moved to Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto in 2025 after leaving FDJ-SUEZ, continuing a career now spanning more than a decade at the top of the sport.
