The most powerful javelin thrower of his generation — three World Championship titles.
Anderson Peters was born in Grenada in 1997. He is the most prolific World Championship winner in javelin currently competing. He won the World Championship title in 2019 and 2022 — becoming the first Grenadian to win multiple individual World Championship titles. He was attacked on a boat in Grenada in 2022 — sustaining serious injuries — before returning to competition in 2023. He threw over 93m in competition — among the longest throws in history. He represents the Caribbean's breakthrough into field events that had traditionally been European-dominated.
