Ana Ivanović was born on 6 November 1987 in Belgrade, Serbia. She turned professional in 2003 and rose to fame with her powerful baseline game and stunning athleticism. She reached the 2007 Wimbledon and 2007 Roland Garros finals before winning Roland Garros in 2008, becoming the world's No. 1. Her career was marked by incredible peaks and puzzling form slumps, but her Grand Slam title and charm made her one of the most globally recognisable sports personalities. She won 15 WTA titles and married footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger. She retired in 2016.
