Known as 'Mr 360' for his ability to hit the ball in any direction, he is widely regarded as the greatest batsman of his generation and perhaps the most innovative cricketer ever. He holds the record for the fastest ODI century (31 balls) and fastest 50 (16 balls). He played 114 Tests, 228 ODIs and 78 T20Is for South Africa, averaging over 50 in Tests. He retired from international cricket in 2018 to devastating reaction from fans and continued in franchise cricket. He is also regarded as one of the best wicketkeepers ever.
