Ayrton Senna's Williams collided with a concrete wall at Tamburello corner during the San Marino Grand Prix at 190mph. He died in hospital later that afternoon. It was the day F1 lost its greatest driver and the sport was fundamentally changed — safety regulations were transformed in his name.
