Evgeni Plushenko is Russia's most decorated figure skater, a four-time Olympic medallist who dominated men's figure skating for over a decade. His exceptional jumping ability — which produced the first quad combination in Olympic competition — powerful skating, and theatrical performance style made him one of the sport's most compelling figures. His 2006 Olympic gold in Turin was one of the defining performances of his era.
